A Good Right Hook
This small canvas oil painting had been in a family for generations, but no one knew what it was due to the decades of dirt and soot. Thje image above has been tweaked in Photoshop and you can just make out two boxers.
Following a very deep clean, the image reveals itself. I have started to address the holes in the canvas.
Having received a coat of protective varnish, the painting really 'sings'. There is a signature and date of 1873.
Looking glorious in its new frame.
